The parade/pageant features horse drawn floats depicting various scenes in the history of Virginia cities and counties and ends with a ceremony on the steps of St. Peter's Catholic Church and a Ring Tournament of costumed jousters. At the end of the volume are several photographs of a woman named Hattie
